Their value depends on information that CVE Numbering Authorities (CNAs) can publish reliably and that downstream users can interpret consistently. The CVE™ Program is strengthening the technical foundation for both groups with the CVE Services Validation Library. Integrated into CVE Services in September 2026 as part of ongoing CVE Program Automation Support System (CPASS) enhancements, the library provides a reusable, extensible way to define and apply checks.
